Yellow Days co-founder Emanuele Palladino explains how the journey began

Yellow Days officially launched in 2024 on a mission to transform how parents can book activities for their child. However Yellow Days co-founder Emanuele Palladino explains the original light bulb moment came almost 20 years earlier when launching his first sports camps.

A google changed it all
“Back in 20025 we were running children’s sports camps across the UK and when I googled my competition, I realised how hard it was to find what was on. The information was fragmented and confused. I thought if this is hard for me, imagine what it is like for parents? I began imagining what it might be like to be able to create a place where you can find and book all these activities in one place.”

The problem still exists
“I wasn’t ready to do anything about it back then, but fast forward 18 years and three children and I found the problem still existed. We have marketplaces for so many areas of our life, Amazon, Airbnb, Vinted, but why not for children’s activities? So I decided it was time to do something about it.”

Let’s go
“Together with my team of co-founders in David Robinson and Shibu Michael we set about building somewhere parents could find and book their children’s activities in one place. Struggling with a name, I found inspiration when one of my children was colouring a picture all yellow. When I was asked why he explained it was because he was ‘happy all over’. So the name Yellow Days was born.”

“The hair may be shorter today, but the passion to help parents create memorable experiences for their children burns as strong as ever.”
