Everything you need to know for booking holiday childcare this summer
29 Jun 25 •
If you are wondering how to keep your child happy, entertained and safe this summer, whilst you manage work or other responsibilities then you are not alone. That extremely long stretch of time ahead of us (also known as the summer holidays 😉) can feel like a lot. Luckily, at Yellow Days we are all about making life easier for parents and we were born out of a need for exactly that – trusted, vetted holiday clubs which takes the guess work out of your hands so that all you need to do is choose the type of care you wish to send your child too.
Still confused as to what to book? Here are our top tips to make booking even easier this summer…
Get Practical
First have a think about what you need. How many days? Full days or half days? And what locations are realistic for your family to travel to. This will be easier to use as an initial filter, rather than having to filter your favourites later on because the hours or location don’t work.
Tune into Interests
There are such a wide range of holiday clubs now that it is much easier to tune into your child’s own individual likes and hobbies. If you have a creative child, look for art classes or even cookery? Sporty? There will be multi-activity camps as well as specific sports camps too. The world really is your oyster, with the holiday club market growing as more and more parents need holiday cover.
Ask any questions
The majority of providers will have detailed outlines of their holiday club format on their Yellow Days page, this includes hours, price, and what a typical day looks like. Don’t be shy though, if you have any specific questions then you can absolutely send them a message through Yellow Days to ask any questions you have. It is always important to feel confident in your choice, knowing that your child will be safe and happy whilst away from you.
Check Feedback
After word of mouth, checking other parents reviews is about as good as it gets when it comes to finding out what a club is really like. Our Yellow Days providers are reviewed directly on the platform by other parents, which means the reviews you see are 100% correct and verified. They often give you a sense for what goes on and how your child might feel, which is super reassuring as a parent.
Don’t leave it too late
There are still a few weeks to go and we have so many options available on Yellow Days, however popular favourites can book up fast, so getting organised now will give you and your child the best chance of getting your first choice options, as well as hours too.
We believe we have everything you need to make your summer holiday childcare booking experience smoother and quicker than it ever has been to date. We are continuing to develop our platform and would always value your ideas as to what you need as a parent to make booking easier too! Contact us via our website or send us a DM @helloyellowdays
